IYENGAR YOGA - a style of yoga that insures every student, whatever their capacity, is guided in the practice with individualized instruction and appropriate support to insure against injury and encourage progress. Weekly year-round Iyengar classes are offered for Gentle Beginning students, Levels 1, 2 and 3 (intermediate) students. 

MEDITATION - the longest, continuous meditation group practice in the White Mountains, meets Sunday mornings at 9 am. Our highly skilled instructor guides the novice and the seasoned practitioner in discovering the ways calm and steady the mind and its wily nature.  This is the best antidote to the craziness of life!

YOGA THERAPEUTICS  - Lauren Barnert-Hosie, OSYC Director, is certified in Iyengar Yoga Therapeutics (3 yr. intensive training) and is certified with the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Yoga Therapy differs from the regular practice of yoga in that individualized poses are given to a student who's physical/emotional/spiritual obstacles cannot be addressed in general classes.  Unlike Physical Therapy, yoga therapeutics addresses each student "holistically" to help the student unearth the root of the issue that impedes well-being.  Asanas (physical poses), pranayama (breath work) and meditation are the tools of yoga therapeutics. 

OSYC offers "Private" Yoga Therapy; a weekly Yoga Therapeutics Class and Specialty Yoga Therapy Workshops/Classes.
